Commencing with the Sale year 2018, all Canadian-Bred Yearling Graduates of CTHS Provincial Sales, that have met the eligibility requirements within their respective Provinces, will now be eligible to run in Sales Stakes offered across the country.
Yearlings must meet Sales Stakes eligibility requirements in the Province in which they ran through a CTHS
sanctioned Yearling Sale. In addition, if required, the Yearling must continue to meet eligibility requirements in the Province in which they sold. The current eligibility requirements by Province are as follows:
A Yearling that passes through the Ontario Division Sale where the full commission is paid to the CTHS is eligible for the Sales Stakes Series. The Canadian Sales Stakes Series is only open to Canadian-Breds.

Once all the Provincial Sales Stakes Eligibility has been met the following conditions apply:
Nomination to an out of Province Sales Stakes (not in the Province where the Yearling sold) will be the responsibility of the owners who will pay $750 to nominate, $750 to enter and $1,000 to start. Note that in Ontario the difference between the listed nomination, entry and starting fee charged by WEG and the nomination, entry and starting fees charged per the above will be paid directly to the CTHS Ontario Division at the time of nomination. In addition, in the event that races are over subscribed, preference will be given to horses that passed through the Sale in the jurisdiction in which the Sales Stakes is being held. For example, CTHS Ontario Division Sales Graduates will have preference for the Sales Stakes races in Ontario.
Canadian-Bred Yearlings passing through the CTHS Yearling Sales in 2018 and forward that meet the eligibility requirements above will be eligible to the Canadian Sales Stakes Series. The inclusion of Ontario commencing in 2018 does not affect the eligibility of Sales Graduates from previous years who will remain eligible for the Western Canadian Sales Stakes Series. For clarity, Sales Graduates from previous years who are eligible for the Western Sales Stakes Series are not eligible for the Sales Stakes in Ontario.
Where possible, the CTHS Provincial Offices will work collaboratively to attempt to schedule the Sales Stakes in each Province so that we can eventually create a Series that allows owners to participate in the Sales Stakes in multiple Provinces.
NOTE 1: Sales Stakes Offered & Sales Stakes eligibility is determined by the Provincial CTHS offices and is subject to change at their direction.
NOTE 2: Canadian Sales Stakes Series Eligibility is determined by an agreement between all Provincial CTHS Boards and is subject to change at their discretion.
How it Works
1. CREATE AN ACCOUNT
2. REGISTER TO BID
Now you are ready to bid!
3. HOW TO BID
Always review your bid before hitting the BID button.
$1,000 - $3,000 = $250.00
$3,000 and up = $500.00
MAXIMUM BID OR AUTOMATIC BIDDING (Recommended)
EXTENDED BIDDING
The auction will have a staggered close. If a bid is placed on a lot during the last minute on the time clock, the auction will go into extended bidding for that lot and another minute will be added to the clock to allow the under-bidder to respond. Bidding for that lot will not close until a minute passes without a bid being placed.
If no bid is placed on a lot during the last minute of the auction, that lot will close.
BUYER PAYMENT
After the auction has ended, you will be contacted by the CTHS to determine your method of payment:
